#FeelgoodFebruary: DIY Hollywood facial
There is nothing quite as indulgent as a good facial. Here, one beauty pro shows you how to replicate his Hollywood facial at home
For most of us mere mortals, beautiful skin isn’t a birthright, it’s earned. And according to Jessica Biel’s favourite facialist Boldijarre Koronczay, it’s a two-step process.
‘The trick to fighting the signs of ageing is teaming great products, which feature key ingredients containing bioflavonoids and vitamins naturally found in fruits and vegetables to help keep free radicals at bay, with gentle massage,’ he says.
But what do facials actually do? ‘When performed correctly they can help prevent wrinkles, strengthen the facial muscles, increase circulation and reduce impurities to leave you with a youthful, glowing complexion,’ he explains. Sold!
Follow these four steps for 20 minutes as part of your daily moisturising routine.
1. Apply a moisturiser, rich in hydrating natural oils such as coconut, to return elasticity to the skin over the face and neck.
2. Next, begin massaging the base of the throat using gentle upward and outward strokes. Progress with sliding movements along your jawline to the base of your ears, then follow with circular motions over your cheeks, ears and lips.
3. Next, lightly tap around the eyes with the pads of your fingers, beginning at the outer edge and working inwards.
4. To finish, massage in upward strokes from the centre of your forehead outwards, with each hand ending with circular strokes over your temples.
